This is a mountain species that has been reported to be a persistent biter.

Biology:

This species overwinters in the egg stage. Larvae are found in woodland pools.

Identifying Characteristics:

Pointed abdomen, no leg banding, wing mostly dark scaled with fewer than 8 pale scales at base of vein C, area under spiracle without scales, banding on abdominal terga, proboscis and palpi dark scaled, scutum with medium broad dark band of scales.
